Vardan Jhanyan, President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association, noted that the government is now studying Armenia’s transfer to the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n CRIRSCO develops and promotes internationally recognized standards for the public reporting of exploration results, as well as solid mineral resources and reserves. Armenia\u2019s adoption of CRIRSCO standards is considered a strategic step toward aligning the national reporting system with international requirements, which will ensure data comparability, enhance transparency, and strengthen confidence among investors and the business community in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The proposal under consideration is directly related to Armenia’s government-approved Mining Development Strategy until 2035, one of which primary aims is the implementation of international standards in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Vardan Jhanyan provided participants with an analysis prepared by the Association covering the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The procedure for Armenia\u2019s accession to CRIRSCO,<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The integration of CRIRSCO reporting standards into Armenia\u2019s mining legislation, Recommendations related to Armenia\u2019s transition to CRIRSCO standards. The working group, which includes representatives of the academic community, will review the Association\u2019s analysis and present its views at the next meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Armenian Association of Mining and Metallurgy held a working group meeting at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. During the meeting, possible approaches to Armenia\u2019s transition to CRIRSCO standards were discussed.
