Recently, the Armenian delegation participated in the PDAC 2026 international conference, which was held in Toronto and is considered one of the most prestigious and largest events in the mining industry. The conference brings together state officials, leading companies in the industry, investors and experts from different countries of the world to discuss modern trends in the development of the mining industry, investment opportunities and new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the framework of the conference, the Armenian delegation, led by Deputy Minister of\u00a0TRC\u00a0Asatur Vardanyan , met with Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Mines of the Canadian province of Ontario, MP Rudy Couzeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also attended by the Armenian MP of the province, Aris Papikyan. Members of the Armenian delegation: President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association (AMMA) Vardan Jhanyan, Managing Director of Lydian Armenia Hayk Aloyan and Diplomat of the Armenian Embassy Gor Yedigaryan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation on international platforms plays an important role in the development of the Armenian mining sector, improving the investment environment and forming new partnerships. The parties expressed their willingness to continue contacts and consider the possibilities of implementing joint initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the conversation, President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association (AMMA) Vardan Jhanyan emphasized the importance of continuing the dialogue and deepening cooperation between Armenian and Canadian partners, especially in the field of introducing modern technologies in the mining sector, environmental protection and sustainable development of the sector. According to him, such meetings provide an opportunity not only to present Armenia’s potential to international partners, but also to get acquainted with the experience of leading countries and apply it in accordance with local conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue cooperation, noting that such dialogues can contribute to the application of best practices in the sector, the attraction of investments, and the sustainable development of the mining industry in Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
