American graphics processor manufacturer Nvidia Corp. increased its net profit by 1.7 times<\/strong> and revenue by 1.6 times<\/strong> in the third fiscal quarter, setting a new revenue record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the quarter ended October 26<\/strong>, the company\u2019s net income reached $31.91 billion<\/strong>, up from $19.31 billion<\/strong> a year earlier. Earnings per share rose to $1.30<\/strong>, compared to $0.78<\/strong> in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings also came in at $1.30 per share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarterly revenue grew to $57.01 billion<\/strong>, up from $35.08 billion<\/strong>, exceeding analysts\u2019 expectations of $54.92 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue from the data center segment<\/strong> jumped 66%<\/strong> to a record $51.2 billion<\/strong>, surpassing market expectations of $49.09 billion<\/strong>. Meanwhile, gaming revenue<\/strong> increased by 30%<\/strong> to $4.3 billion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nvidia\u2019s forecast, revenue for the current fiscal quarter is expected to reach $65 billion \u00b12%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the first nine months of the fiscal year, Nvidia returned $37 billion<\/strong> to shareholders through share buybacks and dividends<\/strong>. As of the end of the third quarter, the company had $62.2 billion<\/strong> allocated for share repurchases under its ongoing program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
