Nissan has begun testing the new electric Juke<\/strong> on public roads, with sales of the production version expected to start next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Nissan Juke EV<\/strong> will be manufactured at the company\u2019s plant in Sunderland. Technically, the model is close to the Nissan Leaf, which in its third generation has evolved from a hatchback into a crossover. Its length is 4,350 mm<\/strong>, similar to that of the Juke, raising questions about how the two models will be differentiated for buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nissan representatives say the electric Juke will feature a distinctive design<\/strong> compared to other models in the brand\u2019s lineup. For some, it will be a \u201cwow car,\u201d while others may not choose such a model at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Juke EV is built on the same CMF-BEV platform<\/strong> as the Leaf, suggesting similar batteries and powertrains. The maximum driving range is expected to exceed 560 km<\/strong>, with power output reaching 214 horsepower<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, Nissan representatives indicated that the price of the new Juke EV will be close to that of the current gasoline version, which starts at around \u00a321,000 (\u20ac23,792)<\/strong> in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
