The main prerequisite for business growth is the formalization of the economy. The topic was discussed during a recent conference, which was initiated by the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) with the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The key topic of the event was to jointly develop a new roadmap for business development with the state, where the importance of transparency will be promoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Representatives of interested state departments, the business community and international organizations participated in the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Republican Union of Employers of Armenia initiated this conference, as long-term studies in the field have shown that several targeted interventions are necessary to solve the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is very important to find out whether the formalization of the economy is a consequence of desire or ability, that is, does business not want to work or is it unable to work?\u201d said RUEA President Vahagn Hambardzumyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also present at the conference was the President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association, Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Mine Vardan Jhanyan, First Deputy General Director of the ZCMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, the mining industry is one of the most transparent sectors in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSince our sector has no problem getting rid of the shadow economy and is considered a pioneer in the country in terms of transparent work, we are participating in this conference today to address the problems in the economy, because we operate in Armenia and our sector is considered the driving force of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Working transparently is extremely important and we proudly record that ZCMC has been presenting a sustainable development report for 4 years now, which is the main guarantee of a transparent working style.
