Developing Responsible Mining: Vardan Jhanyan at the UK Critical Minerals Association Conference

The Armenian delegation is participating in the 5th Annual “Critical Minerals: Shaping the Future” Conference, organized by the Critical Minerals Association in the United Kingdom.

Armenia is represented by Vardan Jhanjanyan, First Deputy General Director of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) and President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association, Armen Stepanian, Director for Sustainable Development, and Harutyun Movsisyan, Head of the National Geological Fund of Armenia.

Jhanjanyan attended the conference as an invited speaker. During the panel discussion “Critical Connections: Dialogue Between Producers and Consumers,” he highlighted Armenia’s commitment to developing responsible mining practices, increasing sector transparency, and contributing to the stability of international critical minerals supply chains.

The delegation also presented Armenia’s mining sector investment opportunities and development potential to participants.
