Armenia’s National Polytechnic University (ANPU) is set to establish a new research and innovation laboratory dedicated to “Critical Metals.”
The announcement was made on the university’s official Facebook page by Rector Gor Vardanyan, who noted that he signed a grant agreement with Alexander Patarinski, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Bulgaria.
The laboratory will play a key role in supporting the transition to green energy, promoting the efficient use of mineral resources, and advancing high-quality education in these fields.
This newly established lab will be the first of its kind in Armenia, providing the capacity to conduct comprehensive studies on chemical elements that are increasingly in demand in the solar energy and electric transport sectors.
As part of development support from the Republic of Bulgaria, the laboratory will also receive state-of-the-art equipment, including chemical analysis tools, reagents, and auxiliary materials.
