Current Issues and Prospects of Mining Development: Discussion at the Polytechnic University

Volodya Kirakosyan, Director of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association, took part in a panel discussion titled “Current Issues and Prospects of Mining Development,” organized by the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

The purpose of the event was to identify key challenges facing the development of the mining sector through academic–industrial cooperation. The following agenda items were discussed:

1. Evaluation of mineral resources and reserves (comparison of international and local standards);

2. Education and retraining of mining industry professionals.

3. An overview of the Datamine software’s capabilities.

During the debate, professional viewpoints were given, there was a Q&A session, and it was resolved to have such events in the future to help the industry better.
