The Association of Mining and Metallurgy and the Ministry of Economy Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Association of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association and the Ministry of Economy have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The document was signed during the “Mining Industry of Armenia” Forum. Speaking to journalists, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated that the public and private sectors will work together, supporting one another in the implementation of reforms.

“Every initiative must first be discussed with the relevant stakeholders. After that, we move on to the next stage. For example, if the Ministry of Economy presents a mining project to the public, it has most likely already been discussed, although it may not have been approved by those organizations. We are not obliged to agree, but we do engage in discussions. We listen to their views, take their feedback into account, develop new initiatives, and so on.”
