Hayk Aloyan holds a PhD in Geology and an MBA from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School,
UK. He brings over 28 years of experience in the mining industry and executive management.
In 2005, Hayk Aloyan founded Lydian Armenia and has served as its Managing Director ever since. Together
with a team of UK-based geologists, in 2006, he discovered the Amulsar Gold Deposit — Armenia’s first and,
to date, only mining discovery since Independence.
Before founding Lydian, Hayk Aloyan served as Senior Researcher and Deputy Chief of the Exploration
Department at the Mining and Metallurgical Institute. He has been involved in the development of feasibility
studies for almost all mining projects in Armenia.
He is the author of numerous scientific articles and more than 51 research papers on Armenian, establishing
himself as a leading specialist in resource estimation.
