Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Asatur Vardanyan, received a delegation led by Garth Kirkham, President of the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO).
The Deputy Minister welcomed the guests and emphasized that Armenia’s accession to CRIRSCO is of strategic importance and is enshrined in the Mining Sector Development Strategy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the Republic of Armenia’s accession process to CRIRSCO, as well as the technical and legal requirements for membership. The meeting was also attended by Harutyun Movsisyan, Director of the Republican Geological Fund SNCO under the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Vahan Grigoryan, President of the Union of Geologists of Armenia; Sargis Kelyan, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Geology at Yerevan State University; Vardan Jhanyan, President of the Armenian Mining and Metallurgy Association; and Armen Stepanyan, a member of the Association.
